Audi R8 e-tron is an electric sports car, with sales expected to begin in late 2012.
The production version, equipped with two engines driving behind the wheel, based on the conceptual model of the Audi e-tron of 2009.
Body R8 e-tron was made mainly of aluminum and has the elements of carbon fiber composite. The package in the T is located between the seats and the rear of the car.
Interestingly, despite the fact that Audi is a group of producers to promote the new universal charging standard, model R8 e-tron-phase entry in addition to IEC 62196-2 Type 2 (VDE-AR-E 2623-2-2) also has a port CHAdeMO. Potentially, this means the opportunity to complete the energy of a rapid charger with a capacity of 50 kW in about an hour.
