Although Volkswagen has started quite late in the market of compact minivans, the Touran model sells quite well. The current generation is with us since 2010, but Germany announce the introduction of the new model no later than 2014.
The new Touran will of course be based on the recently MQB platform, which will serve as the basis for most of the new VW models. This will reduce production costs and reduce weight.
So far, Touran stood quite quiet style, but a new generation to be more aggressive, to not look pale against such competition as even Vauxhall Zafira or Ford S-Max.
Interestingly, along with a new model range will expand to include the extended version, which will be able to accommodate more passengers and luggage. In addition, we rely on an array of facilities including all the latest in safety and comfort.
Under the hood Touran will go well known of the supercharged engine - the TSI and TFSI petrol and TDI diesel engines. German debut of the new generation of minivan is likely to happen in 2014.
